JULIENS LADYBUG PROJECT AT MSKCC IS A DIVISION OF “PROJECT LADYBUG” CREATED BY DINA MANZO FOR ST. JOES HOSPITAL IN NJ. ALL LADYBUG PROJECTS STRIVE TO MAKE FAMILIES SUFFERING WITH CANCER JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE COMFORTABLE. WE PROVIDE SERVICES THAT ARE OFTEN LEFT OUT, WE BUY TOYS AND CLOTHES AND GAMES, BUT MORE IMPORTANT- WE TRY TO KEEP FAMILIES TOGETHER, IF A FAMILY MEMBER NEEDS TO BE NEAR THIER LOVED ONE, LADYBUG CAN BUY THE PLANE TICKET IN SOME CASES. WE TRY TO FILL IN THE AREAS OF HOSPITAL LIFE THAT ARE OFTEN OVERLOOKED.
NEW UVA-1 MACHINE FOR MEDICAL CENTER
THE JULIEN COLLOT FOUNDATION PURCHASES UVA-1 MACHINE FOR NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN WEILL CORNELL MEDICAL CENTER FOR DERMATOLOGY DEPT.
Fall has been a very busy time for us!
We are very pleased to have purchased a High Intensity UVA1 machine and donated it to NY CORNELL / WEILL Dermatology Department, shared with the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. They are thrilled!
It is the only machine in Manhattan, and will be used on patients with many types of skin disorders, this machine which will help so many people with a number of diseases, including GvHD, Lupus, Scleraderma and Excema as well as other auto immune diseases.
A combination of high pressure lamps and special filters to produce an extremely pure UVA1 output, free of virtually all UVB content. This shortens treatment times
